ASES SHIELD Power Socket is a unique safety device designed to protect electrical installation boxes, socket-outlets and switches against ignition and the spread of fire. It contains an integrated clean extinguishing agent in accordance with EN 15004-2. The extinguishing agent is automatically activated within the protected enclosure when the temperature reaches a critical level.
Its screwless connection system, designed in accordance with EN 60998-1, enables the fast, safe and reliable connection of conductors with cross-sectional areas ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 mm².

OPERATING PRINCIPLE

Thermal activation → fire suppression → circuit disconnection

When the temperature in the protected enclosure reaches a critical level, the device activates and releases a clean extinguishing agent directly at the point of ignition while simultaneously disconnecting the electrical circuit. This process significantly reduces the risk of further short circuits and re-ignition and helps minimise direct and consequential damage to property and the electrical installation.
